What is the typical weather in Charleston during July?
July in Charleston, South Carolina, is hot and humid, with average high temperatures around 89°F (32°C) and lows typically around 74°F (23°C). It's also a month when afternoon thunderstorms are common due to the high humidity. Participants are advised to prepare for warm weather and occasional rain by bringing appropriate clothing, such as light, breathable fabrics and a rain jacket or umbrella. Indoor spaces tend to be heavily air-conditioned, so we recommend bringing layers (like a light sweater or jacket) to stay comfortable both inside and out.
